Background
Bangkok and Pattaya are well known for hosting huge LGBT events, but Phuket takes the cake when it comes to Pride Week. Generally considered to be the best in South East Asia, this annual event was first held in 1999 and ever since it became very popular with tourists and locals, both gay and straight. The week-long festival promises both fun and contribution back to society via charity fundraising.
Phuket Pride 2021
After a three year hiatus, this year’s event is much awaited by everyone. However, the pandemic situation is barely showing any sign of improvement. The event is typically held in April, and we will be the first to update here if there is any confirmation from the organizers.

Phuket Pride 2018
The event did not take place in the Year 2018. As announced by the organizer, the team decided to revamp ideas for a more inclusive event that promotes better health initiatives and full equality in the community
Phuket Pride 2017
The Pride Week took place from 24th April to 30th May, and the theme for the year was ‘’ Be Strong, Be Healthy, Be Happy’’. The goal was to make a positive change in attitude towards the LGBT community in Southeast Asia. However, some of the public events, including the Grand Parade at the street of Patong, did not occur due to the Thai King’s mourning period at that time.

Phuket Pride 2016
The year theme was “Hand in Hand in Thailand,” and the festival was held from 24th April to 1st May 2016. The festival welcomed the LGBT community and everyone. Everyone joined together and celebrated Pride week with much fun and helped raise funds for better causes.

Phuket Pride 2015
Phuket Pride 2015 was held from 19th April to 26th April. During these eight days, 12 Fun activities were held, and the week’s theme was ” Freedom to Live.”

Phuket Pride 2014
Phuket Pride 2014 Gay Festival took place at Patong beach in Phuket, Thailand, from 20th April to 27th April. There were parties, events, parades, and charity fundraising. Phuket Loves You Club organized the event.
This year’s theme was “Celebrating who we are”
