Gay Day Cruise to Raya Island

A special for Phuket Pride Week this Gay Day Cruise to Raya Island promises to be a day to remember.

Relax on the secluded beach of Raya Yai Island, only 30 minutes and 12 Km from Chalong by speedboat, on the white powder beach and swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water.

The day includes; round trip transfers, mask snorkel, fins and life jacket. Soft drinks on board, beach chair, experienced tour guide, insurance and an impressive buffet lunch of Thai cuisine.

Itinerary:

07.30 – 08.300 Pickup from Soi Paradise/Club One Seven/CC’s Hideaway and transfer to Chalong Pier

09.15               Depart from Chalong Pier by speedboat

09.45                Arrive at Raya Island, Patok Beach Relaxing

11.00               Go to Siam Bay and Khonkae Bay bay for swimming and snorkelling (optional)

12.00               Back to the main beach and lunch at Raya Seafood Restaurant.

13.00               Take a walk to the viewpoint or relaxing and free time

15.30               Depart from Raya Island

16.00               Arrive to Chalong Pier, transfer back to Paradise giving you plenty of time to relax, freshen up and eat ready for the Gay Quiz night at Rendezvous at 8pm

The brochure price for all of this is usually 2,400 Baht, but as a Phuket Pride Week special we have negotiated a very special price of just 1,200 Baht per person which includes 300 Baht donation to / charities.

10 pin bowling competition 3pm to 6pm

Following the success and popularity of the TSG Games here in Phuket in October 2012, the are including 4 sporting events in this year’s Phuket Pride Week, the first of these is a 10 pin bowling competition to be held today at the bowling alley complex at Jung Ceylon (3^rd floor) above Robinsons and Big C.

The competition is open for teams of 4 people and singles and will run between 3pm and 6pm and is open to people from all nationalities.

Through the ’s commitment to promote sport in the Gay (LGBT) community, we will be subsidising a part of the cost for all of the week’s sporting events, it is well known that 10 pin bowling is a very expensive sport and therefore the entry fee for this competition will be:

TB800 per team of 4 people (3 games)

TB200 per person for the single competition (3 games)

These costs will cover lane hire and shoe hire (if required).

There is no charge for spectators, who are encouraged to turn up and cheer on your favourite team or person. There are bar and food facilities available at this venue.

All contestants MUST pre-register to enter and the entry form and fee must be submitted no later than 15:00 on 21 April 2013. Completed forms and fees must be left at Aquarius Guesthouse and Sauna in the Paradise complex, Patong.

There will be prizes of dinner at Bistro in Paradise Complex, Patong for the winners of both the 4’s and singles competition, plus certificates and medals. All contestants and supporters are invited to attend the Big Stage event at the soccer field on the Friday evening to see the winners presented with their prizes and medals.

Gay Quiz night at Rendezvous 8pm to 10pm

A great way to meet and make friends at this friendly gay quiz night, Rendezvous drink prices are very reasonable and their new bakery has a great selection of cakes and pasteries should you feel hungry. The quiz will be held in English only, but the questions will be suitable for all nationalities.

Teams can be anything from one to 4 people.  If you are single, want to take part but prefer to be a part of a team, just turn us and join with other like-minded people.

The entry fee will be 200 Baht per person, which will all go to / charities and there will be a prize for the winning team and runners up team..  Your Quiz master and adjudicator will ensure a good time is had by all, the quiz starts on time and will end just before 10pm to allow you to move to Soi Paradise for their opening night street party.

Rendezvous is situated in the ‘in’ road of the Paradise complex opposite Kai Bar.

Soi Paradise Pride opening night street party 10pm to 11pm

This night is always one not to be missed with a street parade, shows from many bars, balloon release, fireworks and official opening by Chairat – Deputy Mayor of Patong.

The evening will continue after the street party with many bars holding parties and special events.
