The pride festival is organized mainly to show support for the local LGBT communities and to promote peace and love for everyone.

Over the years, this annual crowd-puller has raised significant funds, and all proceeds went to various local charities and community support programs related to HIV and LGBT.

The week-long festival promises fun-filled activities for everyone, straight or gay, local or foreigner, making it immensely popular. Beach volleyball tournaments, beauty contests, sports events, beach parties, cabaret shows, charity auctions, and even day cruise trips are held on various days of the week.

One of the two most significant events of the week is the Grand Pride Street Parade held at Patong. Colorful costumes, floats, feathers, and models dominate the streets of Patong and attract a large crowd and onlookers. The Karnival like atmosphere never fails to draw cheers and smiles from anyone.

The other main event is the main Gala Dinner and Charity auction, from which the proceeds go to the charities mentioned above.

The week comes to an end with a massive closing party with international DJs and artists.
